Cogeneration is the combined production of electricity and heat from the same original source of energy. Cogeneration of electricity and heat with natural gas is an ideal application of the use of natural gas, achieving simultaneous production of electricity and heat (steam and/or hot water) with the same equipment. Cogeneration technology on the same device allows the production of both electricity and heat during combustion of natural gas. The produced heat, in the form of steam or hot water, or even exhaust fumes, can also be used for cooling, at the same time.
