A meeting was held between EDA THESS and the Ambassador of Italy, Mr. Efisio Luigi Marras
The General Manager of the Gas Distribution Company Thessaloniki – Thessaly S.A. (EDA THESS), Mr. Leonidas Bakouras had a meeting with the Ambassador of Italy, Mr. Efisio Luigi Marras.
The meeting with the Ambassador of Italy, was attended by EDA THESS’ executives, the commercial attaché Mr. Enrico Barbato, the Honorary Consul of Italy and the President of the Hellenic-Italian Chamber, Mr. Ch. Sarantopoulos, the Minister of Environment and Energy, Mr. S. Famellos, the Deputy Regional Governor of the Regional Unit of Thessaloniki, Ms P. Patoulidou, the Mayor of Chalkidona, Mr. I. Tsouknidas, the Mayor of Pylaia - Chortiatis, Mr. I. Kaitezidis, and the President of FODSA Mr. M. Geranis.
Eni's investment in Greece, through Gas Distribution Company Thessaloniki-Thessaly S.A. (ΕΔΑ ΤΗΕSS) for the development of natural gas distribution networks, was the main issue of the meeting, while compressed natural gas (CNG) applications, the use of natural gas in greenhouses, as well as in power generation & cogeneration, were discussed.
The Ambassador of Italy, Mr. Efisio Luigi Marras acknowledged EDA THESS’ effectiveness in Northern Greece, while referring to widening, deepening and further developing the margins and penetration of natural gas using the innovation and the know-how from the neighboring Italy to EDA THESS.
The previous day, executives of EDA THESS attended the event, hosted by the Greek-Italian Chamber of Thessaloniki, in the presence of the Ambassador of Italy, Mr. Efisio Luigi Marras, the Local Authorities, as well as the business entities of the city.
