A meeting was held between the Mayor of Tyrnavos in the Region of Thessaly, Mr. Kokkouras Ioannis and the General Manager of EDA THESS, Mr. Leonidas Bakouras.
During the meeting, the General Manager briefed the Mayor on the Company’s Development Program, according to which the Municipal Community of Ampelonas will be supplied by 2020. Works will commence in March so that consumers will benefit from the use of natural gas in October.
By 2023, in the Μunicipality of Tyrnavos over 3.5 million € in network and new connections will be invested. Citizens' interest is already reflected in the number of Connection Applications, which exceed 1,500 and the Connection Contracts which at present amount to 410. Municipality is also expected to convert the internal installation of 11 Municipal Buildings in the city, as EDA THESS has already installed the meters.
At the same time, the allocation of free space for the placement of the 2nd Natural Gas Decompression Station of EDA THESS was discussed, in order to satisfy the demand of Tyrnavos Agricultural Cooperative Vineyards, Food Industry and more domestic consumers. The meeting ended with the commitment of both parties to maintain excellent cooperation for the benefit of the citizens of the Municipality.
