The Mayor of Kileler and President of the Regional Association of Municipalities of Thessaly Mr. Nasiakopoulos visited EDA THESS offices where he was informed about the Company's Development Program 2020 - 2024, regarding the areas of Thessaly.
According to the business plan of EDA THESS, the total sum of new connections in the distribution network for the five years 2020 -2024 is estimated to reach 90,350 new consumers, of which approximately 30,250 will come from the Thessaly region. The expansion of the low and medium-pressure network will reach 183 kilometers in Thessaly by 2024, while in the Areas of License it will reach 470. The investments of EDA THESS to be implemented in this five-year period amounts to 140m euros, of which 49m euros will be allocated for the development of the network and new connections in the Region of Thessaly.
The areas included in the Company's Development Plan for the period 2020-2024 are: Ampelonas, Sykourio, Pili, Mouzaki, Falani, and Farkadona. In addition, it was proposed to include in the development program, areas of the former Municipality of Platykampos, of Kileler Municipality. It is worth noting that along the road network connecting the Halki area with the Larissa area, one of the largest fresh fruit Processing Industries is located, Del Monte Hellas SA, with which preliminary contacts have been made for its connection to the gas network in order to meet the energy needs of 1,700,000 cubic meters per year.
Finally, Mr. Nasiakopoulos, thanked the General Manager of EDA THESS Mr. Bakouras, for the excellent cooperation and the proposal to integrate new areas into the gas network. He particularly noted the developmental character of this investment as it comes to serve 70% of the businesses located in the Municipality of Kileler.
