Concession agreements were signed between the Municipalities and EDA THESS for the installation of the natural gas decompression units
Following the issuance of the Framework for the Development of Remote Distribution Networks using Compressed/Liquid Natural Gas by RAE, it is expected that within 2018 Koufalia and Chalastra in Thessaloniki as well as Kalampaka and Elassona in Thessalia, will be supplied with natural gas, based on the concession agreements signed between the Municipalities and EDA THESS for the installation of the natural gas decompression units, for the supply of the above mentioned areas.
Within September – October 2018, Lagkadas, Michaniona, Epanomi, Neo Rysio and Tyrnavos, will be also supplied in accordance with the Company’s planning.
Furthermore, EDA THESS continues natural gas penetration in Thessaloniki and Thessalia; in the first half of the year almost 9,000 businesses’ and residential’ natural gas new connections were performed – an increase of 53% compared to the corresponding period of 2017.
EDA THESS is oriented and committed to provide access to the natural gas network to as many consumers as possible in the areas of its License.
