VISIT OF THE ADMINITRATION OF ENI GAS E LUCE IN EDA THESS AND IN THESSALONIKI
Chief Executive Officer of ENI gas e luce S.p.A., Mr. Alberto Chiarini, accompanied by Mr. Pietro Galizzi (Head of Legal and Regulatory Affairs), visited Thessaloniki and met the Management of the Gas Distribution Company of Thessaloniki-Thessalia S.A. (EDA THESS) and the Local Authorities of the city.
Meeting with the Regional Governor of Central Macedonia, Mr. A. Tzitzikostas
Mr. Chiarini, the General Manager of EDA THESS Mr. Bakouras and Mr. Galizzi had a meeting with the Regional Governor of Central Macedonia Mr. Tzitzikostas. During the meeting, issues regarding the development of EDA THESS in the Prefecture of Thessaloniki, as well as the broader cooperation with the Region of Central Macedonia were discussed.
Mr. Tzitzikostas mentioned the exceptional cooperation between the Region of Central Macedonia and EDA THESS, regarding the execution of works for the expansion of natural gas Distribution Network in new areas. Furthermore, he stressed the high satisfaction and acceptance of natural gas consumers in the area of the Prefecture of Thessaloniki, as well as the support of the Region of the Central Macedonia by funding works of natural gas network construction of € 15 million from European Union programs.
On his part Mr. Chiarini, referred to EDA THESS’ positive results in the Prefecture of Thessaloniki, as well as the investment plan for further development of the Natural Gas Distribution Network, prepared by the Company, and the increase of consumers’ connections number in cooperation with the Region of Central Macedonia in the Prefecture of Thessaloniki.
Meeting with the Mayor of Thessaloniki, Mr.I. Boutaris
Αt the Town Hall of Thessaloniki, Mr. Chiarini, Mr Galizzi and the General Manager of EDA THESS Mr. Bakouras attended a meeting with the Mayor of Thessaloniki Mr. Boutaris.
Mr. Chiarini stressed the high penetration of natural gas in the Municipality of Thessaloniki, which covers 72% of the population and underlined the commitment of shareholder ENI gas e luce S.p.A. to continue investing through EDA THESS, supporting the market, households and businesses.
The Mayor of Thessaloniki Mr. Boutaris, for his part, highlighted the mutual cooperation of sides and Municipality’s support to EDA THESS ‘investments for works of expansion of the Natural Gas Distribution Network, which are particularly important for the region of Thessaloniki. He also referred to the improvement of the quality of life of city residents from the use of natural gas to households and businesses. At the same time, he stressed that despite the fact that the construction works of the Distribution Network cause a slight nuisance, once these interventions are completed, they will bring long-term benefits to the consumers.
Company's progress – meeting with the management of EDA THESS
The General Manager of EDA THESS Mr. Bakouras Leonidas warmly welcomed Mr. Chiarini and Mr. Galizzi at the Company’s premises in Thessaloniki.
Mr. Chiarini had a brief meeting with Chairman of the Board of Directors Mr. Venetis Bouras, where they referred to the Company's results and Business Plan for the period of 2018-2022.
Mr. Chiarini along with the General Manager of EDA THESS Mr. Bakouras, have inaugurated the Event Hall “Enrico Mattei”. Following, Company’s presentation by the Management Team took place.
During the meeting, detailed Company’s progress, distinct responsibilities of EDA THESS, and issues to be resolved for the proper execution of activities, were mentioned.
Mr. Chiarini underlined the support of ENI gas e luce S.p.A. to the Company's Management and employees, while he addressed to the future challenges and in particular the adoption of new technologies as well as health and safety culture regarding all activities and personnel of EDA THESS.
The presentation to the CEO of ENI gas e luce S.p.A., Mr. Alberto Chiarini, by the Management Team of EDA THESS, was completed in an excellent way with an exchange of views on the achievement of the Company's objectives
