The General Manager, Mr. Leonidas Bakouras welcomed the Ambassador of Italy, Mr. Efisio Luigi Marras along with the commercial attaché, Mr. Enrico Barbato at EDA THESS’ premises in Larissa, on a visit that was held on Thursday 06/06/2019.
During the meeting, Mr. Bakouras briefed on the Company’s succesfull course throughout its 20-year activity in the energy sector and reffered to the excellent results of the first five mounths of 2019, which certify once again this success.
The General Manager presented the range of EDA THESS’ activities and stressed that the strong performance derrives from the Company’s long term strategic planning. Main strategic objective is the safe development of the distribution network, where, according to the Company’s approved 5-year investment program, € 93 million total investments are foreseen.
Mr. Bakouras added that, focusing on people, the standard business operation and the efficiency enhancement are also main pillars of the Company’s strategy.
Mr. Marras was informed, with great satisfaction, about the Company’s operation as a network distribution operator and the legislative framework which governs strictly all its activities. He was also informed on the CNG technology for the supply of remote areas with natural gas through virtual pipeline network, as EDA THESS is the first company to introduce this application in Greece since 2018.
The Ambassador praised the efforts of the shareholders DEPA – ENI, management and employees for the impressive performance of EDA THESS, whose activity plays a key role in shaping the country’s energy landscape.
